Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg

Wet Ingredients

  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons melted butter

Peach Mixture

  • 1 cup fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and finely chopped
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg

Cheesecake Swirl

  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Peach Mixture: Peel, pit, and finely chop fresh peaches. Toss them with cinnamon and nutmeg. Set aside to let the flavors meld as you prepare the batter.
  2. Make the Cheesecake Swirl: In a small bowl, beat softened cream cheese with sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
  3. Mix the Donut Batter: In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. In a separate bowl, combine milk, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter. Gradually mix the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients until just combined to keep the batter fluffy.
  4. Assemble the Donuts: Grease a donut pan lightly. Fill each mold halfway with batter, spoon in some of the peach mixture, then add a dollop of cheesecake swirl. Top with more batter and gently swirl using a toothpick for a marbled effect.
  5. Bake and Cool: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-18 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let donuts cool in the pan briefly before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Use ripe, fresh peaches for best natural sweetness and flavor.
  • Do not overmix the batter to keep donuts tender and airy.
  • Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature for smooth cheesecake swirl.
  • Use a toothpick gently for a beautiful marbled effect without fully mixing layers.
  • Grease the donut pan well to prevent sticking.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
  • Freeze wrapped donuts for up to 3 months; thaw before serving.
  • Reheat gently in microwave or oven to restore softness.
